GOD’S
DESIGN
Text: “Then
I went to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.” Jeremiah
18:3
There is
a very close intimate relationship between a potter and the clay. The clay
depends absolutely on the potter for everything. The making of the clay is
actually in the hand of the potter. The clay has no intelligence of its own to
decide how it looks like and what it should be used for. This is purely the
prerogative right of the potter. The potter knows what is good for the clay.
The clay must therefore submit to the clay to make out of it what is the best.
The potter decides the design of all his work; whatever design he makes is the
best for the clay. Every design is made in such a way to fulfill a particular
assignment.
This is
also applicable to our lives as believers. There is a divine design to our
lives. We did not just appear here accidentally. We were divinely packaged and
put together by the creator. Whatever he made us is the best we are supposed to
be. A man is never his best until he discovers God’s design for his life. The
design of a fish is to swim in water so the animal does not find it difficult
to do so. There will be a lot of struggle for the fish to function in another
environment outside water because it was never designed for another
environment. In many cases there are struggles in life because many people venture
into areas they are never designed for.
The Holy
Spirit has a unique job to reveal to us God’s original design for our lives.
This is so important so that we may not waste our time and energy in what we
are not designed for. Once you find God’s design for your life you will also
find joy and excitement in your soul. If you are working somewhere and there is
no passion for what you are doing it’s an indication that you are working at
something you are not designed for. It will be difficult for a man or woman to
excel in what they don’t have passion for. God’s design for your life is the
best; go for it!
PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus I declare that my life is
been patterned after God's design for my life in everything.
