Text:
“...Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely...think on
these things.”Philippians 4:8
The thoughts of a man
direct the steps of a man. The thought of a man is like the compass of his
life. Where your mind goes your life will automatically follow. When your
thinking is wrong your life will automatically be wrong. Romans 12:2 in Easy English
version says “Do not let yourselves be like the people who belong to this
world. But instead, let God change how you think. Then you will become new
people. You will be able to understand what God wants you to do. You will
understand what is good. You will understand what makes God happy. And you will
understand how to live completely as God wants you to live.”
Just imagine a list of
the benefits of allowing God to change our thinking. List them out by yourself
from the verse above. A change in a man’s life begins from a change in his
thinking. Right thinking is a thinking that is in line with God’s eternal
counsels for our lives. If a thought is not in line with scriptures then it’s
wrong. The word of God is the standard of measurement of what is wrong or what
is right. We must be careful not to just accept something because it’s popular
and widely accepted.
When thoughts of
failure comes deal with it. Don’t allow any wrong thoughts to stay on your for
too long. The longer it stays the more it develops inside us. The mind is an
incubation ground of the soul; this is why we must be careful of what we allow
to stay in our minds. Consciously expose your mind to right books, messages etc
that will produce the right thinking in your life. Take out your time to listen
to people at a higher level of spiritual authority with proven testimonies.
They will help you to come higher in your thoughts.
PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus I pull down every wrong
thought and imagination. The mind of Christ is working in me.
