Adding spice to your day: SPIRITUAL LAMENESS - PART TWO

Text: “I went by the field of the slothful…It was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof broken down” Proverbs 24:30-31

This is a continuation from our previous teaching. We’ll look closely at the implications of been lame spiritually.
1. Our lives become a dumping ground for every satanic manipulation. We’ll no longer have any spiritual resistance within us to wield off the wiles of the devil. Thorns grow over.

2. We become vulnerable and exposed to sin. Most times people don’t fall into sin willfully, but once the spiritual life is faulty the inner resolve crumbles. Stone walls broken down.

3. The authority of our lives becomes ineffective. The words our mouths lack performance. Our prayer becomes weak and barren.

4. There will be nothing beautiful and inspiring about your spiritual life. The positive influence you should have on others will be lacking. No one will be able to draw life from you, because you have no deposit.

The word of God is the healing balm. This is what we require to receive restoration and rejuvenation of our spiritual life as we apply ourselves to it.

The word of God produces life in us and health to our total being (Proverbs 4:20-22). Our spiritual life is as healthy to the extent to which God’s word has gained control of our lives. Loss of appetite for the word of God is loss of our spiritual life. This is the primary meeting point between man and divinity. The access that God’s word has into our lives is the access that God has in our lives.

Please make God’s word the number one priority of your life, it will completely change you. You’ll suddenly discover that your spiritual life takes on a new vigor and strength that reinforces you within.

PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus my spiritual life is restored.
