FACE THE FUTURE

Text: “Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.” John 14:19

There is really nothing in life that has a guarantee of a great future outside God. The best of careers and jobs have their own list of failures. The best of our connections may not be there again tomorrow.

The future is in God. He controls it. We must therefore build our confidence in someone that remains forever. Where we want to go he’s been there. What we want to do he has done it. He has the details of what your mind cannot figure out. We face the future as we face God.
The life we live in the present must revolve around God. The challenge with most of us is that we spend most of the active seasons of our lives around a career and business with little or no time for God. The time we invest in God today is an investment for our future. Time spent with God is time invested.

The future will remain the same with all our anxiety and worry. It is better we face it in prayer. The mistake we make most times is thinking its only people who have problems that should be heavily involved in prayer. Prayer is breathe of the regenerated human spirit. Prayer prepares us for the future and also prepares the future for us. We actually put orderliness in our future in the place of prayer. You don’t have to be married before you start to pray for your home or even pray for kids you’ll have. If you are still in school start praying about settling down after school. The unfortunate thing is that we run life majorly on emergency basis.

Face the future with the confidence of who Christ is in your life. He’s the hope of glory; there is nothing to fear. If Christ dwells in you the future is secured for you. If you don’t have a prayer life then you are leaving the future to chances. When you are afraid and anxious you create an inroad for the Devil.

CONFESSION:
I can face the future because Christ lives in me. My future is brighter, bigger and better than today.
