Text: “...Hath given to
us the ministry of reconciliation...and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation.” 2 Cor 5:18-19
We have many today who flood into churches all over the world.
Many will claim they have received Jesus as their Lord and saviour. But
unfortunately many don’t have any passion for the gospel. The gospel of the
Lord Jesus is not something we receive to keep but something we receive to
demonstrate and share with others. Apostle Paul understood this very clearly;
he said “...necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the
gospel!” He was all out for the gospel. He lived to fulfil God’s dream of
making the gospel known to the Gentiles.
Living for the gospel begins from making sure that the evidence of
the gospel is clearly seen in our lives. Each one of us as believers is living
epistles that should be known and read by all men in our sphere of contact.
Without carrying the Bible an unbeliever around you should read the gospel in
your life and conduct. It will be difficult to present something that has not
changed your own life to another person. The evidence of the gospel must be
clearly seen in your life. It was clear to everyone who knew Apostle Paul
before of the changes that had taken place in his life.
On the other hand each one of us is an ambassador and a steward of
the mysteries of Christ. We are sent to bring God’s word alive to those in our
world, touching them with the love of Christ. Don’t be comfortable with
ignoring the sinners around you; it’s not the will of God that anyone should
perish. God wants them saved, and He’s counting on us for their salvation.
Everyone that is not saved around you are without hope in this world and in the
world to come. Such individual are separated from the promises of God. They are
created by God but they don’t belong to him. God’s creation is not the same as
God’s ownership. Please don’t be quiet reach out to them.
CONFESSION:
My life is an expression
of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. My life is turning multitudes to God.
